Guwahati News Desk: Chief Minister of Assam Dr Himanta Biswa holds a meeting with State Water Resource Minister Pijush Hazarika on Assam flood on Monday.
CM Sarma asked senior officials and the water resource department to undertake maximum works possible within the month of May to minimize flood damage in the State.
Earlier, on Sunday State Water Resource Minister Pijush Hazarika visited Puthimari River in Kamrup rural district to take stock for upcoming monsoons along with the officials.
Hazarika directed its officials to take all necessary measures for the upcoming monsoons.
Yesterday, Hazarika holds a meeting with the Chief Engineer of the Water Resource Department and MLA Diganta Kalita.
