Guwahati News Desk: Six people including two women were arrested by Police officials at Abhayapuri of Bongaigaon district in Assam on Sunday.
The six were immediately arrested for disrespecting Indian tri-colour national flag by placing it as a table cloth.
Police officials arrested them after a photograph got viral in the social media where they were seen having party of Eid.
The accused was arrested under section 120(B) and 124-A on the Indian Panel Code and section 2 of Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act, 1971.
According to the sources, the local court at Abhayapuri sent them to judicial custody on Sunday.
