Guwahati News Desk: An Assam Rifles jawan was martyred and two others were injured in an encounter that took place between suspected cadres of National Socialist Council of Nagaland (Khaplang-Yung Aung) at Changlang district in Arunachal Pradesh on Saturday.

The deceased jawan was identified as Rifleman Avatar Chakma as Deputy Commissioner Devansh Yadav of Changlang district confirmed the incident.

The injured jawans identified as Rifleman Baldev and Bablu were airlifted to the nearest Army Hospital for treatment.

The incident took place as the security officials have launched a massive counter-insurgency operation in the area to eliminate militants.
The encounter at Changlang district which shares borders with Myanmar, listed as undisputed area of the State
