Guwahati News Desk: Dr Navanil Baruah of GNRC Hospitals has been granted bail on Sunday.
According to the sources, Dr Baruah was attested for allegedly protecting hit and run case of Rukminigaon accused Rajkanya Baruah by providing fake medical report and also admitting her to Semi Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in the GNRC Hospital.
A case was registered against Dr Navanil Baruah under Sections 3720/21 Case no IPC 201/221/120B as on late Sunday he granted bail as there sections are available offences.
Earlier on Friday, the neurologist Dr Baruah was interrogated by Guwahati Police for 12 hours. He also underwent a medical test at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).
Model Rajkanya Baruah was sent to 14-day judicial custody on Friday by the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) court.
Rajkanya Baruah injured nine PWD labourers with her speeding vehicle at Rukminigaon.
The Dispur police arrived at the incident spot at around 2 am, as later Baruah allegedly got into an argument with the police on duty as well.
Regarding, the injured labourers, they were immediately admitted to Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).
